    • Whimsical and uniquely festive, each handmade embroidered heart is beautifully made by women artisans in San Nicolás, in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico, to continue their handcrafted works - know as "tenangos" after the region's main town, Tenango de Doria - with the added advantage of sustainable job opportunities in an international market. Each meticulously-crafted ornament is a work of art that you can take home from artisans of the Indigenous Otomí community in Hidalgo, or Hñäñhü as they call themselves.

Hang these mini Otomí ornaments all year round - as a decoration in a nursery, distraction on a stroller, or on your tree or mantle for a pop of holiday cheer. Every purchase champions success for women and creates opportunities for their communities. Check out more about Otomí in San Nicolás in The New York Times article here.
    • La Red // Mexico

La Red (“network" in Spanish), is an organization of indigenous women working to preserve and promote their traditional culture through the sale of fair trade artisan products. Founded in 2006, the majority of La Red artisans live in rural, impoverished communities, where they lack access to employment, education, health care and other basic services. La Red is comprised of social enterprises and family owned artisan businesses and supports women artisans by providing skills training and product design and marketing.
