In order to stay competitive in the retail landscape and as a small business, we choose to take a percentage off our original retail price for a select few occasions during the year. This is by far our biggest week of the year, as we put our message out to the world, we know we need to stand out among the large retailers to ensure we make an impression.
Our sales from this period fuel our impact into the following months and years, and allow us to continue our life-changing work with our partners around the world.
This is our chance to say thank you to you. At the very core, we believe in long-lasting and sustainable relationships, both with our partners and with our customer community.
As a non-profit organization, a price reduction means, yes, we will not make as much revenue. But it also means you get to be part of our community - perhaps for the first time - and join us in creating change. Not a Discount for Our Partners
This is a big one. A discount for you does not equal a discount for the woman who made the product you purchased.
We partner with small artisan groups and cooperatives in over 23 countries, providing design assistance, operational expertise and an introduction to the global marketplace.
Our commitment means we pay up-front for all the product you see on our site. Put simply, no sale will ever affect our artisan partners negatively.

As we sell through the product on our site, we're able to continue sending orders and giving work to our network of over 20,000 women artisan worldwide.
