MAS + DISENO is a collective of small artisan groups in Colombia. The women-led groups come from La Guajira in northern Colombia, and live in areas with neither sewage systems nor running water. The artisans in these groups produce hand-made crochet pieces using traditional techniques and natural dyes. Artisans are involved in the design of their products and one artisan elected by each group handles sales. MAS + DISENO trains the artisans in design, craft development, and business, so that they may continue to compete in the local and global marketplace.
