Blimey! The Brits put us to shame again
Earlier today the English chocolate giant Cadbury announced that Dairy Milk--the UK's most popular chocolate bar --will now carry the Fair Trade Certified label. That increases Ghana's entire FT cocoa production from 6% of the market share to somewhere just shy of 20%.
How did it all happen? "People will think how on earth in the middle of a recession we can do this, but our customers tell us this is what they want," said Trevor Bond, Cadbury's UK Managing Director. That's right--customers demanded it. Let's take a cue from our friends across the pond.
