It's the middle of July, and we couldn't be more thrilled that our new ceramics collection from Le Souk Ceramique is here.

By training craftswomen from predominantly lower socioeconomic backgrounds, Le Souk provides artisans with fair wages and marketable skills. Best Potted Plants

Both the small and large Le Souk vases are ideal for flowers and potted plants. Unsure what would grow best in our Le Souk planters? Have no fear.

According to Gardeners' World, the top ten plants to grow in pots and containers are as follows: tickseed, garden cosmos, Busy Lizzies, ivalace,  emerald 'n' golds, Skimmia japonica, plantain lilies, fountain grass, and two kinds of evergreen: clematis and kohuhu. 

If you're more of a flower person, we suggest small, brightly-colored bouquets to nicely blend with our product's color scheme. Light pinks, yellows, reds, and purples are delightful!

Super Simple Recipe for a Tasty Summer Salad 

It's nice to go above and beyond when you want to impress guests (or even just yourself) with your cooking skills. But in the summer, it's also nice to take it easy. That's why we think that keeping it simple is the ideal approach to summer meal preparation, and what's more simple and summery than a classic Greek salad?

Below is my father's foolproof recipe. When we didn't have gas in our apartment one summer due to a leak in the building, our oven was inoperable for months on end, making cooking options quite limited. The Greek salad was the perfect solution to this inconvenience: simple ingredients, short prep time, delicious, healthy and filling. 

Ingredients: 

• 1 chopped romaine lettuce heart (or trimmed romaine chopped)
• 1 thinly sliced red onion
• 1 cup of diced feta cheese
• Greek olives
• 2 thinly sliced red and green bell peppers (1 of each)
• 1 sliced hot house cucumber or a regular cucumber peeled and sliced
• 1 teaspoon of fresh oregano
• Zest and juice of 1 lemon
• 5-6 tablespoons of olive oil
• Sprinkling of coarse salt and black pepper
• Optional: 1 drained tin of best quality tuna or 6-8 chopped anchovy filets. 

Once you have all your ingredients in the bowl, toss the salad! This recipe is just one example of a tasty summery meal that looks great served in Le Souk products.
